Meet Our New Executive Director, Amy Bray!

The Kutztown Area School District Education Foundation is pleased to welcome Amy Bray as our new Executive Director, effective January 1, 2026. Amy is a lifelong resident of Kutztown and is looking forward to giving back to the school district from which she graduated in 1997.

Amy graduated from Kutztown University in 2000 with a degree in Education. She taught math and social studies at Fleetwood Area Middle School, where she focused on engaging students in dynamic learning experiences, student growth, and academic excellence. After teaching for five years, Amy moved into real estate. She currently works as a real estate agent and real estate instructor for Weichert, Realtors.

We look forward to working with Amy in the executive director position, where she will bring energy and skills. Others describe her as “very professional and reliable.” “She has a vested interest in the community.” “Everyone who has worked with her has enjoyed it.”

Time management, communication, critical thinking, and teamwork are all strengths on which Amy relies. She is excited about learning all facets of the executive director position. As demonstrated by her past experiences, she is an eager learner.

In her own words, “As Executive Director, I’m honored to unite our community’s generosity with opportunities that inspire creativity and strengthen learning for every student.”

Amy will be replacing Kathy Metrick, who has been the executive director for five years. Kathy will be moving into a board position and looks forward to continuing to work with Amy and the board. Having time for the two executive directors to work together will ensure a smooth transition. Please help join us in welcoming Amy.
