Meet Our New Board Member, Tamara Fitzgerald!
Tamara Fitzgerald, class of 1996, is the newest member of the Kutztown Area School District Education Foundation Board.
Born and raised in Kutztown, Tamara earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Cedar Crest College and a Master’s in Library Science from Kutztown University. She is currently in her 26th year of teaching in the Northwestern Lehigh School District, where she takes great pride in fostering students’ academic, social, and personal growth while inspiring a lifelong love of learning. Beyond the classroom, Tamara has been deeply involved in Kutztown Athletics Booster programs for the past several years, holding multiple leadership and volunteer positions.
“All of these experiences have allowed me to work closely with families, coaches, and community members, and I truly enjoy supporting programs that benefit student-athletes and build team and school spirit,” Tamara shared.
She resides in Kutztown with her husband, Patrick, and their two children, Grant and Jade. As a family, they enjoy traveling across the United States and beyond, exploring the beauty and diversity of each place they visit. Avid sports fans, they are also close to reaching their family goal of visiting every Major League Baseball stadium!
As a new Education Foundation Board Member, Tamara is eager to bring her energy, creativity, and community spirit to the organization. She looks forward to exploring innovative fundraising opportunities, expanding community engagement, and supporting KASD staff and students through academic and extracurricular initiatives. She also hopes to help increase alumni involvement by sharing Foundation updates, promoting events, and celebrating our graduates’ achievements.
Welcome, Tamara!
