Teacher Mini-Grant Update: AP Government & AP Human Geography Students Visit Washington, DC

“On Thursday, May 21, AP Government and AP Human Geography students traveled to Washington, DC. Our students were invited to participate in a question-and-answer session with Rep. Madeleine Dean. All students attended a session of the Senate.

AP Human Geography visited the National Museum of African American History and Culture and the Washington Monument, while AP Government students attended a session of the House of Representatives and visited the Supreme Court. Students had the opportunity to connect what they’ve been learning in the classroom to real-world experiences in a meaningful and engaging way.

This hands-on, immersive learning experience was made possible by a Kutztown Education Foundation Mini Grant.”
