Kutztown Area School District Education Foundation Mini-Grants for the 2026–2027 school year
The Kutztown Area School District Education Foundation is pleased to announce the awarding of a record number of mini grants for the 2026-27 school year. Thanks to the creativity of KASD teachers, students from every building will benefit from the wide variety of projects submitted.
This year’s projects include the following:
Greenwich-Lenhartsville Elementary
Reading Olympics – Annual county-wide competition that inspires reading
Sensory Integration – Meeting the needs of students through sensory integration and support
Kutztown Elementary
Reading Olympics – Annual county-wide competition that inspires reading
Growing Learning: School garden & outdoor learning
Greenwich-Lenhartsville and Kutztown Elementary Schools together
Nutrition and Food Cooking – Healthy family meals and snacks on a dime
Kutztown Area Middle School
A Helping Paw – Liability insurance to allow the therapy dog to visit the building
Bringing Civics by bus – Students participate in a mock trial through The Rendell Center
The Illustrated Narratives Project – Cross-curricular project between English Language Arts and Art classes
8th grade Valley Forge enrichment trip – bring the American Revolution to life
Read & Ride – Exercise bikes with desks in the library center to be used for sustained silent reading
Kutztown Area High School
Meet Your Representatives - AP Government students will visit a member of Congress in Washington, D.C. to advocate for policy changes.
Physical Science Book Club – where novels meet science
GamePlan CDE Credentialing – An interactive learning platform offers courses in tech- related career fields.
Printing the Future: Expanding student screen print opportunities
