KASD Education Foundation gives $225,000 to support Stage the Future and Cougar Courtyard

On July 20, 2026, the school board accepted a check for $225,000 from the Kutztown Area School District Education Foundation. This donation represents the generosity of our donors in support of the Stage the Future and Cougar Courtyard initiatives. Thank you to all of you who gave to these projects that will directly enhance educational opportunities for our students!

From Christian Temchatin, Superintendent:

“The Kutztown Area School District and Board of School Directors are incredibly grateful to the Kutztown Area School District Education Foundation and the many donors whose generosity has made these projects possible. Because of this partnership, both Stage the Future and Cougar Courtyard will welcome students at the start of the 2026–27 school year, creating inspiring spaces that will enrich learning, creativity, inclusion, and student experiences for years to come.

The Cougar Courtyard provides a space intentionally designed to meet the sensory and developmental needs of some of our youngest and unique learners. Stage the Future brings modern staging and lighting enhancements to the Kutztown Area High School Auditorium, ensuring our students have a performance space that reflects the quality of their talent, dedication, and hard work.

The Kutztown Area’s greatest strength has always been its community. The generosity demonstrated through these projects and through the ongoing work of the KASDEF, its Board of Directors, volunteers, and donors exemplifies that community dedication and spirit. Thank you for helping create opportunities that will benefit Kutztown students now and in the future.”
