BB&T recently donated $5,000 to the Kutztown Area School District Education Foundation through the Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program, which is run by the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development.

The STEAM Factory, an annual Kutztown Area School District celebration of all things Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math, was held at the Middle School on Friday, February 15th. The main attraction of the event was the 5th Grade Science Fair.
Odyssey of the Mind is a creative problem-solving program in which teams of similarly aged students spend several months crafting a solution to an open-ended problem. Students who participate learn to work as a team and develop their leadership skills as they strive to understand the constraints of the problem and how they might develop a solution within those constraints.
On September 7, the 1951 Boys Basketball Team was honored by the KAHS Athletic Hall of Fame. Mr. Carl Wuchter represented the team at the evening’s proceedings.

Seniors at Kutztown Area High School received over $40,000 in scholarship awards, at this year’s Senior Awards Night, with the foundation handing out 30 awards to graduating seniors.
The KASD Education Foundation is proud to announce the addition of Anna Behm, KAHS Class of 2012, as our Administrative Assistant. Anna is a graduate of Kutztown University with a BS in Leisure & Sports Studies, with a minor in Coaching.
Signage Space and Walkway Bricks Still Available! On Sunday, the Cougar Stadium and Track was dedicated, complete with a ceremonial ribbon-cutting by Mrs. Helen Breidegam, wife of the late Delight Breidegam, as the track was named the Timothy M. Breidegam Track.
