Student Support:
- Fund Support-A-Scholar, paying for 50% of students’ advance college course fees
- Support annual Middle School STEAM Fair, and other academic related exhibits and competitions
Teacher Support:
- Fund Teacher-coaching programs
- Fund a variety of technology equipment to enhance classroom learning methods
Facilities Support:
- Supported upgrades and dedication of John Silan Gymnasium in 2017
- Collected $556,434 for Kutztown Cougar Stadium & Timothy Breidegam Track in 2018
- Provided funds for fencing around HS athletic stadium
- Continue collecting donations for Cougar Stadium Walkway name bricks
Alumni Recognition:
- Recognized 13 KAHS Alumni for personal & professional accomplishments
- Supported first All-Alumni Homecoming Reception in 2019
- Committed to support Annual All- Alumni Reception beginning in 2021
- Hosted a reception for Cougar Tale members in 2015
KASD High School Awards:
- Gave 326 awards in 20 years; currently awarding 43 scholarships annually
- Received $1,171,904 in donations towards KASD high school student scholarship
- Received over 25 trust agreements totaling >$900,000 safely invested for future scholarships
EITC & Innovative Project Support:
- Received $358,000 from local businesses to support innovative projects at KASD
- Funded the One-to-One laptop initiative, first of its kind in Berks County
- Purchased computers, iPads, projectors, digital cameras, printers, software and network upgrades to enhance academic curriculum
- Expanded outdoor classroom space with tents at each school
Milestones:
- Became 2nd Education Foundation in Berks County in 2000
- Granted 501c(3) Charitable Tax Exemption status in October, 2001
- Created fulltime Administrative Support position in 2018
- Received “Community Organization of the Year” in 2019
- Voluntary Board of Directors comprised of alumni & former administration
