How the Education Foundation is Empowering Young Readers through the Imagination Library Program

“Love this program,” says Ashley. “I signed both my kiddos up and I’m gonna definitely be signing my next baby up once he’s born. It’s a wonderful program.” The praise just keeps coming for Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.

Imagination Library provides free books once a month to each child who lives in the School District and is enrolled in the program. In a January 2024 article in The Keystone, Kutztown Area School District was featured as one of only 54 local affiliates in Pennsylvania and one of only 3 in Berks County to be a participant in this literacy program that supports children from birth to age five. Our district currently has 355 enrolled readers.

Enrollment is as easy as clicking on the link below:

Funding for the books is provided by the KASD Education Foundation through your generous donations.
